Excavation Tonight!!

Merhaba,

I hope all our blog readers are well and enjoying the lovley weather out here in North Cyprus!

Just to let everyone know there will be an excavation tonight at the usual time of 6pm. It is a green turtle nest and we are hoping we will find some live hatchlings! But as usual we will bring some hatchlings for all to see.

We will meet at the goatshed at 6pm but if anyone has any mobility issues then you can wait at the beach bar until you see a large group of people being led by the red shirted volunteers!

We do ask that there is no flash photography as it affects the sight of the hatchlings. This is a charity that runs totally on donations so any donations will be gratefully received, there are also many souvenirs available at the info room!

I look forward to seeing everyone tonight!!

Errol

  2. Hi Jana. There are busses from Kyrenea to Esentepe but infrequent. One leaves Kyrenea each day at 16:30 which would get you to us in plenty of time. Tell the bus driver that you want to be dropped at Alagadi village. Say St Kathleens restaurant or Turtle project. There is a danger that he might drop you at the beach, if this happens speak with the beach bar manager Gokmen and he will point you in our direction. The bus leaves Girne post office. It has rainbow stripes. There are more frequent busses to Acapulco resort which is close but you will need to hitch the last few miles. Hitching is very safe and I would reccomend.
