Excavation tonight (14/08/2011)

Good morning one and all,

I am happy to say that we have another excavation on this evening at the usual time of 5:30 meet at the GS. The nest this evening is a logger nest, and is her 2nd clutch of the season. It is situated on our 3rd bay, so if you are already down on the beach, look out for red t-shirts around the meet time and join them at the site.

Our information centre is open from 9:00am onwards, so please feel free to come and visit us. We have a wide range of merchandise on sale and all volunteers are here to answer any questions about the work that we do here.

May I remind people that we are unable to take any bookings for hatchling releases before 12pm. So please feel free to give us a call about whether there is an excavation on this evening, but we will not be able to book you in for a release if there is one until 12pm.

Hope to see you later

Thank you so much. We really enjoyed the 5.30pm excavation of the loggerhead nest. 58 little turtles was more than we expected to see and we are loving the photos we took.

You are all doing an excellent job and my 10 year old Mia hopes you are still here in 8 years time to come and volunteer with you. Keep up the good work :)
